- In a microwave safe glass container, add the whole hulled strawberries and top with sugar.
- Wrap very tightly with plastic wrap and microwave on high for three minutes.
- Remove, stir and recover with plastic wrap before returning to the microwave for three minutes.
- Repeat this process another three-five times, until the liquid is bright red and all of the sugar has fully dissolved.
- Strain out the strawberries and refrigerate the syrup until ready to use.
