Grilled Blue Asian Pear Biscuit


As part of our National Biscuit Month Celebration, the chefs in the Loveless Barn have created some new recipes using our Loveless Cafe Biscuit Mix. This elegant dish is one of them:Loveless Events



  1. To make the sauce, melt butter in saute pan, add in 1/4 cup of brown sugar and mix until smooth.
  2. Add 2 tbs minced Asian pear and cinnamon and bring to a low simmer.
  3. If mixture becomes too thick add more butter until desired thickness is achieved, set aside.
  4. To grill the pear, slice two pears into 1/8 inch thick wheels and remove the core.
  5. Roll the pear wheels in brown sugar to achieve a light coating
  6. Place pear wheels on a hot grill and cook until soft, flipping constantly so as not to burn.
  7. To plate, place 1 slice of pear in or on top of a biscuit.
  8. Put 1 tbs blue cheese and about 4 dried cranberries on top and in the middle of the pear.
  9. Top with 1 tbs of the sauce.
