Classic Southern Sweet Tea

Sweet Tea is as Southern as warm hospitality and charming accents. No soirée would be a truly Southern affair without a pitcher of it. Instead of buying store-bought, brew up a fresh batch at your next gathering and be the belle of the ball.

  1. In a medium pot, bring 8 cups water to a boil.
  2. Add tea bags and remove from heat. Steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags and add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Once dissolved, mix with 4 cups cold water.
  4. Serve over ice and enjoy, garnishing with fresh lemon wedges if desired.
