Chow Chow Deviled Eggs

Chow Chow is a true Tennessee treat that goes great on beans, chili, and soups. But one of our all-time favorite ways to use the Southern sweet and sour relish is in deviled eggs, which gives them a little more zest than the traditional style.

  1. Remove egg yolks from egg whites, reserving yolks. Rinse egg whites and carefully pat dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yolks, Chow Chow, horseradish, and mayonnaise. Add salt and pepper.
  3. Fill each egg white with a spoonful of the prepared filling.
  4. Garnish tops with a sprinkle of smoked chili seasoning and chopped parsley, if desired. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
