Peach Melba Sangria

Peach Melba Sangria - Served in Mason Jars for 'Grab & Go' - from the Loveless Cafe

Peach Melba Rosé Sangria




3 bottles rosé wine*

2 cups raspberries (fresh or frozen)

4 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

1 can white grape juice concentrate

1 liter sparkling water (add right before serving)

1 fresh lime, sliced for garnish


Combine rosé wine with raspberries, peaches and white grape juice.  Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but overnight is suggested for best results.  Right before serving, add sparkling water and garnish with fresh lime.

*Rosé wine gets its color from the skins of the grapes.  Instead of red wine, where the skins are allowed to ferment with the juice and impart color (and flavor!), with rosé wines, the skins are removed before fermentation, providing that beautiful blush color.  Of course, many folks think of White Zinfandel as the most popular ‘pink’ wine, and it will work for this recipe but is not recommended, as it is quite sweet on its own.  Instead, ask your local wine merchant about their suggestions for rosé wine.  There’s no need to go for the most expensive ones!
