Famous "M&M" Christmas Cookies from the Loveless Cafe Cookie Swap

Mark Curtis and Meredith Lipscomb, Loveless employees for almost a decade, have known one another for over thirty years. Many years before their work relationship, Meredith taught Mark how to make the best basic cookie recipe! Adding a little creativity, a little food coloring and a lot of yummy chocolate, Mark has created the best holiday cookie ever!







Mark and Meredith’s Famous “M&M” Christmas Cookies




1 ¼ cup all purpose flour

¼ tsp. baking powder

¼ tsp. baking soda

1/8 tsp. salt

½ cup softened butter

½ cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 ea Egg yolks

Green and red food coloring

1 cup each of red and green M&Ms

2 cup white chocolate chips


Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.  In a separate bowl, mix butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. On low speed, slowly add flour mixture to wet ingredients until combined. Add egg yolks and combine.

Separate batter in half.

To one half, add 6 drops green food coloring, 1 cup red M&Ms and 1 cup white chocolate chips.

To the other half, add 6 drops red food coloring, 1 cup green M&Ms and 1 cup white chocolate chips.

Drop batter by the spoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 9-10 minutes.
