This is one low-cal option that everyone will cheer for. Make them up ahead of time, filling the jars with this fresh, crunchy salad. When they’re ready to eat, just add dressing of choice, put the lid back on and give it a good shake!
Chopped Salad Shakers
8 oz Fresh Arugula
8 oz Chopped Romaine Lettuce
1/2 cup Sweet Corn Kernels (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup Diced Sweet Red Bell Pepper
1 cup Diced Cucumber
1/2 cup Roasted Salted Sunflower Seeds
1/2 cup Roasted Salted Pumpkin Seeds
1 lb Loveless Cafe Bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
A collection of your favorite salad dressings – or just one if it’s good enough!
Toss all salad ingredients together except the dressing and fill into pint mason jars. Chill well and when needed, add the desired dressing, screw the lid back on and SHAKE! These work great for parties and picnics, as guests can enjoy the salad right from the jar without having to find a place to sit and eat.
