Loveless Hams & Jams Market Gets a Makeover!

Housed in the original motel rooms of the Loveless Motel, the Hams & Jams Market was first opened to the public in 2004. Filling the space of former motel rooms 14, 15, 16 and 17, the store would often get packed tight with Loveless goodies and guests. Starting late on Tuesday evening, the store underwent an extensive renovation and redesign, opening up the floor space for better traffic flow and more unique Loveless Gifts

Hams & Jams Country Market carries more than just the Loveless Cafe’s famous country ham and homemade preserves. Visitors can also stop by Hams & Jams to pick up the Loveless Cafe’s tasty pit-smoked BBQ – either by the pound or as a freshly-prepared sandwich. Hams & Jams also offers a great selection of Loveless merchandise, apparel and handmade gifts from all over the great state of Tennessee.

What’s in a name anyway? Well, you can’t spell Loveless without LOVE! And this Valentine’s Day we are going to prove it. Visit the Cafe on Tuesday, February 14 and you will notice something slightly different about our famous biscuits. Yes, they will still be made with that same secret recipe, but we’re getting festive for the occasion and cutting out our biscuits in the shape of a hearts to help ‘spread the love’ to all our guests. So, come on in on Valentine’s Day and see for yourself that we’ve got plenty of LOVE at the Loveless!

Every year Food & Wine Magazine tests thousands of cookbooks for their “Best of the Best” cookbook with recipes from the top 25. We are pleased to announce that Loveless Cafe’s newest cookbook, Desserts from the Famous Loveless Cafe has made their list! They have selected a small group of specific recipes from the book and will include on bonus recipe that can only be found in their book! New Daily Specials!

Well, it’s that time of year when we get to playing around in the kitchen and come up with a new batch of seasonal daily specials. Of course, most of y’all still come in for Fried Chicken and Biscuits, but lots of our regulars like to mix it up with some new items every now and then! See below for all the specials fore each day of the week.

MONDAY

Since everybody’s looking to eat healthy every now and then, we have added a delicious Baked Chicken item on Mondays. Starting at 11am, you can come in and order this half roasted chicken coated with fresh lemon and herbs. George in the smokehouse really outdid himself on this one!

TUESDAY

Talk about comfort food! This homemade slow-cooked Beef Pot Roast really hits the spot! Slowly simmered with potatoes and carrots in a rich brown gravy and served with two sides, you better be hungry!

WEDNESDAY

Always a favorite and sure to sell out every time we make it, our Chicken and Dumplings is a specialty of one of kitchen cooks Daniel. He really knows what he is doing on this old-fashioned favorite! Be sure to come in early so you are guaranteed a taste of this special!

THURSDAY

Our Pitmaster George puts a lot of love but not one drop of sauce on these Memphis-Style Hickory Smoked Dry Rubbed Ribs. Served with any two vegetables and sauce on the side, your plate will be looking like a game of pick up sticks by the time you are done with this pile of bones!

FRIDAY

Even though we like to think that our Fried Chicken can’t be beat, our Chicken Fried Chicken with White Gravy is quickly getting a whole new fan club! We take a fresh boneless breast of chicken and bread it good and crispy before serving it up with a heapin’ spoonful of our white gravy. Served with two sides.

SATURDAY

The weekends are special around here and we celebrate them with two specials! Our Sweet Potato Pancakes are served all day and starting at 11am, we serve Tony’s Honey Fire BBQ Chicken. He takes a half chicken, coats it in homemade honey-chipotle barbeque sauce and cooks it in our pit. Delicious!

SUNDAY

Come in Sunday for second chance to try our Sweet Potato Pancakes or try our homemade old-fashioned Chicken n’ Dressing. Talk about a Sunday Supper, this special hits all those comfort zones with homemade cornbread dressing, pulled chicken and warm chicken gravy.

Patsy Cline to be Loveless Artist of the Month for February

During her tragically brief lifetime, Patsy Cline won hard-fought acceptance as a country star when female headliners in the field were as rare as snow in July. Her later recordings crossed over from the country charts, racking up sales and radio airplay in the wider pop market. So it was an entire nation that mourned the tragedy when a plane crash on March 5, 1963, claimed her life and those of singers Cowboy Copas, Hawkshaw Hawkins, and her manager, Randy Hughes. Patsy was only 30 years old. Country fans will never forget her or the musical influence she left behind. Patsy Cline was inducted, ten years after her death, into the Country Music Hall of Fame and was the first female soloist ever inducted.

This February, the Loveless Cafe will celebrate the Music of Patsy Cline with a special playlist in the Cafe and exciting contests surrounding the artist. Stay tuned for more information and your chance to win!
