You may have seen the recipe for our Red Velvet Pancakes featured in Southern Living this past December or seen photos of them on Facebook or Pinterest, but we’ve never actually served them in the Cafe. Until now!
All February long, we’re going Red Velvet with two new special menu items – Red Velvet Pancakes and Red Velvet Waffles, both served with lightly-sweetened Fresh Whipped Cream and warm syrup. Thankfully, our breakfast menu is served all day, so you can try these any day of the week and any time of the day – but don’t delay, because they’ll be gone come March!
Of course, there’s more to red velvet than just pancakes and waffles. We’ll also occasionally be baking up special Red Velvet Brownies and even our delicious Red Velvet Cake from our Desserts Cookbook in February, so it’s a pretty sure thing that you’ll be seeing red when you come to the Cafe in February!
Now, if you don’t feel like making our Red Velvet Pancakes from scratch, we’ve actually got a quick and easy solution for you! Just grab a bag of our Pancake Mix and make to package directions, sifting in 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the dry ingredients and adding 1.5 tablespoons of red food coloring to the water – and you’ll have some delicious red velvet pancake and waffle batter you can use at home!
