Bravo! We (my wife and I) recently traveled to Nashville for my professional association’s annual convention. It had been 12 years since we were in Nashville (back then, we lived in Huntsville, AL, and got up to see Music City quite a bit).

We stayed beyond the close of the convention so we could reacquaint ourselves with Nashville and to sample some new places we had missed back in 1994. One of the places we sought out was The Loveless Cafe. We are so pleased we did seek you and your folks and the establishment out.

We came over for Sunday breakfast (on Sunday, May 28) before heading out on the Natchez Trace Trail for the day. We called ahead for seating and when we arrived, we were seated fairly quickly at a great table near to one of the porch doors. Our waitress (Gwen) was great (friendly, efficient, warm and welcoming). Our breakfasts were fabulous. They were served quickly and hot and were so good. The baking powder biscuits and preserves were so good. My wife had bacon and eggs with grits while I had the sausage and eggs with the hash browns. It was all good.

We had originally planned to hit the Trace and then amble our way back downtown to our hotel and eat nearby to Vanderbilt University. But as the day developed and went on, we began discussing returning to The Loveless for supper. We did and it was equally fabulous.

This time we did not call ahead and we did not have to wait at all either. Coincidentally, we were seated at the same table (now considered to be “our table” for when we return again to Nashville and the cafe) and our waitress (this time Lindsey) was again super and top notch!

We ordered the Boneless Pork Chops (me) with Sweet Potatoes and Cream-Styled Corn) and the Fried Chicken (my wife) with Sweet Potatoes and Green Beans. It was all great including again the baking powdered biscuits. Mmmmm! Mmmmmm! Good!

Sadly, we enjoyed our main entrees and the biscuits so much; we had no room for dessert although we were tempted.

We just wanted to share with you how much we enjoyed our visits to The Loveless (and the gift shop). The food was fabulous as were your staff. It was so enjoyable. We were so pleased we returned for supper and we are pleased to share with you how well you and your staff did in serving us well, filling us up and giving us some additional Nashville memories of our visit.

Thank you all so much. Keep up the great work and the fabulous food and service. We had such a great time (during both visits) that we are already trying to figure out when we can get back to Nashville again (it certainly will not be another 12 years between visits thanks to you and your staff).

Take care, stay well and continue your excellent efforts and offerings.

Sincerely,
